Daniel Aidoo Mensah is the Managing Partner & CEO of Aidoo Mensah & Associates, a firm of Actuaries, Pensions & Benefit Consultants

He is a seasoned Actuary and Pensions Expert; an Associate Member of the Institute of Actuaries, UK; and an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, UK. He is also a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.

He was a member of the Presidential Commission on Pensions (PCP) from July 2004 to September 2006, and the lead architect of the new contributory three-tier pension system for Ghana. He was appointed Project Consultant by the Government of Ghana to the Pension Reform Implementation Committee from October 2006 to December 2009, and led the team that prepared the proposals for the National Pension Reform Bill, which eventually became the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766).

From January 2010 to March, 2011, Daniel Aidoo Mensah was the first Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority.
He prepared the proposals leading to the Occupational and Personal Pensions (General) Regulations (LI. 1990), which was passed by Parliament in March, 2011.

He was the Managing Consultant & CEO of Tri-Star Actuarial & Management Consultants (Gh.) Limited, a multi-disciplinary firm of actuaries and management consultants.

Aidoo Mensah has also had over 20 years experience with the insurance industry, mostly in top management positions.

From 1997 to 2003, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (MET).

He is a staunch catholic and founding member of Archbishop Dery Foundation for Human Development. He is also a founding member of the Cardinal Turkson Fund for Health and Education

In March 1993 Daniel was a recipient of Papal Award from his Holiness Pope John Paul II for his dedication to the poor and hungry, on the recommendation of then Archbishop Dery.
